For the second year in a row, the Asia-Pacific Managing Director of a global financial association asked WakeMake to facilitate the co-creation of regional strategy with regional teams at a management retreat.
The managing team had thirteen members that were mostly located in the Hong Kong office, with the exception of country heads from India and China. The senior managers oversee different divisions in the company and one of their priority objectives for the two-day retreat was to align the management team around the challenges at hand and foster collaboration across departments. The second objective was to work out an approach and co-create the strategy for a large global initiative that affected how regional teams interact with local member chapters.
Following a series of interviews and planning sessions with the sponsor team, WakeMake developed an approach for an immersive change workshop. The first day we conducted the ExperienceChange™ workshop and the second day we designed and facilitated a customized application of the skills and tools the team learned the day before. After an intense two days, the team walked away with more clarity, tools to manage their change, a tangible strategy, and a concrete action plan for implementing the strategy.
